Great start to the weekend!

It was a lovely, relaxed day at the office.
Left the office early even, because my ride to town had to leave early.

Got to town, went to Ion. First time I'd been there (walking to the train station doesn't count). I'd decided to look for boots, and was hoping that Steve Madden might have a good pair. Alas, it was not to be.
Slightly disappointed, I wandered to the other shoe shops (great concept, Ion, to have the same type of stores in the same section!) and ended up in Aldo.
There was a pair of boots. Black. Leather. Knee-high. Heels.

It was the last pair - it was the display piece.

It was on sale, with a further reduction if I put it on my card.

It was in my size.

It was meant to be.

So yes, it might not be the perfect pair of boots - the quest continues - but I love it anyway.

Ambled along to 313. Another first! I'd never been here til now. Anyway, got myself another Discworld novel. Decided to get me a 10 minute shoulder massage.
Am now at Coffee Bean, enjoying my chai tea latte.

Waiting for P, then we'll meet TSY. Yay, haven't seen her in ages! Dinner - the current consensus is Marché. Yay, haven't eaten there in yonks! Going for a movie after - Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. Yay, haven't seen it, ever!

I'm having a wonderful day. And it's not over, and the weekend's just begun!
Life is sweet.

To top it all off, I'm having a great hair day. :)

Bunny was right; today's note is definitely meant for me.

Some people just have big hearts, Ki. And with this gift they're very often able to feel, offer, and show far more love than they receive from those around them. Which, at times, is a heavy load to bear. So today I'd like to remind them, and especially you, that the sun asks not that the moon and planets help brighten each day, but relishes her role as a keeper of the light and a bringer of the dawn. A role much like your own.

Happy weekend, from the Sun and I -
