I'm lying on the couch, fiddling with my phone. Mum's watching telly.
She'd just changed the channel to one of the movie channels, and credits are rolling. I'm in a bit of a silly mood and decide to ask Mum, "Are you waiting for a movie, or are you just enjoying the credits?"
To which Mum replies oh-so-seriously, without missing a beat, "I'm practising my reading."
Deadpan one-liners. I loves them.
