The downside of ending work so early is that I inevitably end up waiting for friends to knock off, when we decide to meet after work. I might work out in the boondocks, but I can still get to town before they're done with work.
I made plans to meet Bunny after work, but she'll only be able to meet me about 7. Seeing as how I'll be in town about half 5, I needed to find something with which to occupy myself.
First I thought, hey I can do my nails! But decided against it, as my manicurist is in another mall and I don't want to go somewhere new. Besides, it'd be a waste, as I have a mani/pedi package with my usual manicure salon.
Then I thought of doing my hair. My hairstylist is from the salon really near Bunny's office, so that would be a good way to kill time. However, seeing as how I did my hair only in December, I vetoed that idea.
Finally decided to bring a book, so I can sit at a cafe and read/people-watch/chillout.
Sitting at my desk the whole day, with my shoulders and back and feet aching, I wonder why I didn't think of it earlier. The perfect way to kill an hour. I am going for a massage!
Hmm. I'd better call and make sure they can fit me in. But yay! Massage!
One of the many upsides of ending work so early is that I get to go for massages before the after-work crowd hits!
