The Monday That Wasn't

Today was one of those days, you know? Felt like a Monday, but still holds the excitement of the impending weekend. Not that I have anything particularly exciting planned for this weekend, but still. The weekend is nigh!

Tutored today. Student was already in holiday mood, so I'm definitely going to have to plan lessons that will not only educate, but entertain. I do have a couple ideas in mind, but it'll take a bit of time, of course.

Oh, since I'm on the topic of the Mac family (the dad's a mac fanboy, remember?*), I might as well mention Shoes. I sympathise with her and her plight, but it's just too funny not to mention.

So she goes off to Bali, yeah? Has a lovely relaxing time, drinks quite a bit, and I believe I would be correct in my presumption that she also consumes the local fare. Then she comes home, has a nice local lunch and a lovely local dinner.

Then gets food poisoning.

I honestly didn't know whether to facepalm, eyeroll or just laugh. I did a mental combination of all three when I heard.

Played Monopoly Deal with the two older kids after that. I hadn't played monopoly of any sort in a while, but it didn't take long at all for the cutthroat in me to emerge. I had to keep reminding myself that they're only kids! But hey, if you're old enough to play the game, you're old enough to lose! Muwahaha!!!

Oh, bought some chicken and beef on the way home. Got home and fixed me a chicken salad for lunch tomorrow. I think I might have myself some steak over the weekend. Noms!

Ok. Way past bedtime!

Oy!

Is this a good time to tell you I'm about to receive a new work mac, and have bought a new dell i7 that will get an install of Ubuntu ASAP?

It's a great time to tell me that. You pretty much proved my point.
