Is there any other kind of Sunday, really? Especially when it's raining.
Woke up pretty early, considering it's Sunday! That is to say, I opened my eyes at 8am, looked at the time, and closed my eyes for another two hours. Finally had to get out of bed though, for I had to get BabyGirl ready for church.
One hour after I dragged myself out of bed, I packed the parents and BabyGirl off to church. Bro got a lift from them, to go to the clinic.
I fried up a couple eggs, fried a tomato, heated up the brats that Mum had cooked earlier in the morning, got a couple pieces of toast, a glass of milk and the all-important cup of black coffee. With that fantastic breakfast in hand, I settled down for a lovely day of sheer laziness.
Only to have my plans thwarted about an hour later, when Bro comes thumping back home, demanding food. There was food in the house, but he wanted sausages. There were sausages in the house, juicy, fat, dripping-with-oil sausages, but noooo. Bro wanted the boring, bland chicken franks. Of which we had none. A bursting-at-the-seams freezer we have, with lots of meat, but no chicken franks.
So off I went to the shops. The things I do for my (not a baby anymore!) baby brother! But I gave him a bit of leeway, seeing as how he's ill, and we all know how boys get when they have the sniffles.
Picked up more than just the chicken franks though. Also grabbed cereal (for BabyGirl), a refill pack of Milo (for BabyGirl), and cans of tuna and a bag of apples for me. Hello, tuna-apple for lunch tomorrow!
Staggered back home, put the franks to boil, and went back to watching rubbish telly and playing nonsense computer games. After I did a sinkful of dishes, which included greasy frying pans.
Then after the folks got back from church, I saw to BabyGirl, pottered around a bit, then did a food run for the family, so Mum wouldn't have to cook.
Then dished out food for the family. Then prepared my lunch (and dinner) for tomorrow. Then got my clothes ready for work.
So much for a proper lazy Sunday! But I did get a good few hours of lounging around, and at least half an hour of that was spent in my jammies.
As Sundays go, it wasn't bad...nope, not bad at all.
