Reunited and it feels so good

I was rushing for work this morning, despite Doof's wake-up call (yes yes, I fell asleep again after), and forgot my phone.

Which is one thing I (almost) never forget. I usually do the check too: phone, wallet, keys, work ID.

Sitting in the cab on the way to work, I reach into my bag pocket. No phone. Search bag. Still no phone. Feel really frustrated. Decide to call my dad and ask him if he could drive to my office to pass me my phone. Realise I can't call him because....no phone. Throughout the whole cab ride, I keep thinking of something I want to do - check Facebook, play a game, read a book, check traffic so I can plan the best route....but all that is on my phone. And I had no phone!

Called the Dadman when I got to the office, and thank goodness he said he'll drive over on the way to work.

Of course, since then, I've received only one text. Didn't really need it, but it just goes to show how dependent we've become on our gadgets.

In my defense, I have class tonight, so if I didn't have my phone, I wouldn't be in contact with family. After last year, I'm paranoid about family not being able to contact me in case of emergency. So yes, it's a good reason to freak out over not having my phone.

Also, this post only came about because I'm procrastinating. Back to work I go.

But seriously. I did feel pretty lost without my phone, even if it was for only an hour.
