Ask, and thou shalt receive

Ever notice how things just fall into place, all the pieces just fit perfectly, and all you have to do is to ask for it?

I was worried about money after settling my loans and bills, and there are two weeks before payday. I asked for a way to manage my funds until then.
Yesterday, I received a cheque, that just about covers what I need.

I came back to work today after taking yesterday off, and was met with an astounding amount of work. I knew that I wouldn't be able to finish it all today, and couldn't stay late as I had class. All I wanted was a couple of extra hours to clear my workload, and still have time to prepare for class.
I received a call informing me that class has been cancelled for tonight, leaving my evening free so I can put in a few hours overtime. Plus, I have time for some revision before class next week.
